Tadcaster Albion celebrated their first trophy in the club's 118-year history at their annual dinner and presentation evening on Friday.Its group of loyal supporters spent the evening at the Riley Smith Hall in Tadcaster recognising key individuals who the Club and players thought deserved special recognition.
They also heard from guest speaker Barrie McDermott, Leeds Rhinos and England Rugby League legend, who entertained them with stories about illustrious and controversial career.
The first team's Players' Player of the Year was Marc Thompson (bottom left) whilst the manager's award went to Danny Pitts (bottom right) who was also voted Supporters' Player of the Year.
The Club is looking forward to building on its success with the continued support of principle sponsor 2inspire.
Rob Northfield of 2inspire has agreed to take over as chairman following the Club's AGM next month.
He formally addressed the team and Club members for the first time saying, "The club has entered a new era, and started to create a history of success.
"Future success will be based on fresh investment, a spirit of fun, appreciation and a desire at all levels to succeed.
"We look forward to working even more for and with the local community as well as concentrating on improved performance on the pitch.
"We invite anyone interested in our plans to contact me and especially if you wish in some way to offer support to Tadcaster Albion."
