Grimsby Borough have made history in their 3-0 victory against Worsbrough Bridge Athletic.

Grimsby Borough has apparently made worldwide footballing history when father Steve Newby replaced his son Dean Newby in the KoolSport NCEL Division One clash on Saturday.

The FA's historian has heard of a son coming on for his dad - Eidur Gudjohsen replacing Arnor Gudjohsen for Iceland v Estonia in 1996 - but he has not heard of it happening the other way round.

Grimsby Borough say they are very proud of holding the record.
