Jenkinson Is Eccy's Man
5th November, 2009
Eccleshill United have unveiled Paul Jenkinson as their new first team manager.
He takes over after the original successor to Steve Watson, Danny Bolton, could not take the job due to a change in his personal circumstances.
It meant that Chris Bates remained on as caretaker boss.
But, matters have now been resolved with Club Secretary, Mark Holstead, saying of their new man: "Paul was previously in charge at West Riding Premier side Lower Hopton where he has turned the club around.
"But, he felt ready to step up and take the reins of a bigger club.
"Paul brings a desire and a commitment to stabilise the club on the field given time and take Eccleshill United forward."
His first game in charge is the home league clash against Hemsworth Miners Welfare where victory will move them off the bottom of the Division One table.
