Staveley to Help Youngsters be Seen
22nd July, 2009
Staveley Miners Welfare are helping local schools and young pupils by supplying high viz vests for their walks to and from school.
As members of the local Staveley community, with the aid of their main sponsor BARIS Facades & Linings, the club are aiming to expand their community spirit by providing the safety aids ahead of the dark winter mornings and evenings.
Staveley are looking to provide these free of charge, including delivery, to a number of pupils that local schools may feel would benefit and suggest maybe pupils aged between 5 and 10 years old.
They are also hoping to expand the offer to include any adults that may require them eg. teachers, walking monitors, if applicable.
The vests will bear the Staveley MWFC emblem on the back and any youngster wishing to attend match days at Staveley MWFC and are wearing one will be admitted to the ground free of charge with a full paying adult.
