The Toolstation NCEL Division One title will be decided by a showdown between the top two sides on the final day of the season this Saturday after midweek results left just a one-point gap between leaders Campion and second-placed Grimsby Borough.
Campion could have stretched their advantage to six points on Tuesday night with a victory at Shirebrook Town
and were seemingly on their way to achieving that when Aiden Day gave them a 47th minute lead.
But, Shirebrook fought back and, with a Robbie Savage equaliser on 72, took a point from their final match of the campaign with a 1-1 draw.
That result meant Borough could claw their way closer to the summit with a win at Ollerton Town
on Wednesday night and, thanks to goals from James Dean-Atkinson and Adam Drury, the Wilderness Boys were 2-0 up by the midway point of the second period.
Gavin King netted his 29th league goal of the season to give Ollerton a late consolation but Borough took home a 2-1 win that means a victory at home to Campion at the weekend will secure them the title - any other result means the trophy and promotion will instead go to their Bradford-based rivals.
, meanwhile, drew 1-1 at Parkgate
, Kieran Watson's 23rd minute opener cancelled out by the hosts before half-time through Liam Morris, to move themselves a point clear in third spot going into the final round of matches.
And, in the Premier Division, there were away victories for Hemsworth Miners Welfare
and Albion Sports
in the two top-flight matches played in midweek.
Hemsworth secured a top-five finish with a 1-0 win at fourth-placed Yorkshire Amateur
, Adam Knight with the 86th minute winner, whilst Sports were 3-0 victors at Eccleshill United
Luke Aldrich's double was added to by Eddie Church to give the sixteenth-placed Lions the win over the tenth-placed Eagles.
