Staveley went behind early at
Garforth Town through a Mark Simpson strike but Joe Pugh's spot-kick restored parity and that is how it stayed all the way through normal time and then an extra half-hour.
A dramatic shoot-out then took place with Staveley going through 7-6 as keeper Myles Wright became the hero, saving the home side's eighth penalty before stepping up to strike the winner into the net.
Selby, meanwhile, caused an upset as the Division One visitors claimed a 3-1 win at Premier Division hosts
Eccleshill United, Gary Collier's first half double giving them a 2-1 advantage by the interval with Khurram Shazad scoring in between.
