Farsley AFC's lead at the top of the KoolSport NCEL Premier Division has grown to seven points after their 4-0 win at home to Hall Road Rangers in midweek.
Simeon Bambrook struck twice while there were also goals for Ryan Serrant and Lee Connor as the title chase lurched slightly towards the Throstle Nest side.
Second placed Parkgate were without a game and Bridlington Town missed out on a chance to go above them as they were held to a 0-0 draw at Nostell Miners Welfare.
Tadcaster Albion fall further behind in fourth after they were beaten 3-2 at home by Scarborough Athletic who move up into ninth.
Christopher Jenkinson had given the Seadogs a half-time lead before goals from Carl Stewart and Danny Pitts had seemingly swung the game in the home side's favour.
But, it was Scarborough who were to have the final word with Bill Law levelling on 64 minutes and Ryan Blott converting what was the winning penalty soon after.
Arnold Town gave themselves a massive boost in the fight to avoid relegation as they beat bottom side Dinnington Town 2-0 at Eagle Valley with goals in the opening twenty minutes from Simon Hore and Luke Smithson.
The side lodged between them, Hallam were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Thackley having gone two-up with strikes from Craig Getliff and Matthew Thompson early in the second period.
Ross Daly and a late Matthew Mathers penalty meant the spoils were shared.
Arnold are now eight points clear of Hallam but the Sheffield based side have three games in hand whilst Dinnington look almost certain to finish in the bottom two.
Winterton Rangers played out a goalless draw at home to Pickering Town on Wednesday night.
In Division One, Pontefract Collieries kept their hopes alive of promotion as Duncan Bray, Paul Haigh and James Wilcock struck in a 3-0 win at Teversal.
They are eight points behind second placed Yorkshire Amateur but with three more matches to play.
A further point behind them are Handsworth who climbed into fourth with a 3-0 victory at home to Worsbrough Bridge Athletic.
Scott Bates, Sam Smith and Dan Smith all struck in the final twenty minutes.
Hemsworth Miners Welfare won 3-1 at home to Brodsworth Welfare whilst Michael Lyall's 21st-minute goal saw Shirebrook Town victorious, 1-0, at Glasshoughton Welfare.
Appleby Frodingham and Leeds Carnegie drew 1-1.
And, goals from Ryan Damms and Aymen Tahar saw Division One leaders Staveley Miners Welfare through to the Fourth Round of the League Cup with a 2-0 victory at Barton Town Old Boys.
They now go to Handsworth in the last eight.
