30th September, 2010
Leeds Carnegie and Glasshoughton Welfare both picked up 3-0 victories in KoolSport NCEL Division One matches in midweek.
Carnegie climbed to fourth on Monday, two points behind leaders Staveley Miners Welfare, after dispatching visitors Worsbrough Bridge Athletic.
Greg McGrory struck twice, one in each half, whilst Scott McGrory also found the net early on in the second period.
Glasshoughton were victorious at Appleby Frodingham, Darrell Young, Alex Booth and Dell Pollock with the goals, and move up into eleventh spot.
The spoils were shared between AFC Emley and Grimsby Borough as they drew 1-1 at the Welfare Ground.
Luke Mascall had put the visitors ahead after just two minutes and the hosts had to wait until the last eight minutes to level, courtesy of Danny Toronczak.
The all-NCEL Notts Senior Cup First Round tie ended up being very one sided with Arnold Town beating Teversal 6-0 at Carnarvon Street.
Player-joint manager Chris Freestone struck a hat-trick whilst Jevaise Christie netted a brace and Luke Smithson completed the misery for the home side.
Parkgate won 2-1 at home to Hemsworth Miners Welfare in a friendly whilst Armthorpe Welfare played two thirty-minute halves against Doncaster Rovers' youth team and were beaten 5-3 in a good run-out.
