NCEL 2009/10 Match Review #40
17th January, 2010
The first KoolSport NCEL game of 2010 was finally played on Saturday and it saw Bridlington Town return back to the top of the Premier Division.
In what was the only match to go ahead as grounds try to recover from the Big Freeze, they beat visitors Dinnington Town 4-0 to go ahead of Rainworth Miners Welfare on goal difference and put a seven point gap between the top two sides and their closest title rivals.
Wayne Wallace put the Seasiders ahead on 25 minutes and that is how it stayed until after the interval when the match swung further their way with a Tom Fleming strike just before the hour.
Two goals in the last ten minutes from Ashley Allanson and Craig Palmer made the scoreline more emphatic.
Dinnington remain in twelfth position following the defeat.
