NCEL 2009/10 Match Review #38
17th December, 2009
Bridlington Town returned to the top of the KoolSport NCEL Premier Division as they won one of only two matches to survive the midweek bad weather.
The Seasiders won 4-0 at Pickering Town to go above the previous leaders, Rainworth Miners Welfare, on goal difference.
They struck three times in the last eight minutes of the first half to virtually put the game to bed by the interval.
Nathan Hotte opened the scoring and Ashley Allanson struck twice before, in the second period, Allanson completed his hat-trick on 67 minutes.
And, in Division One, AFC Emley moved up to third with a 4-1 victory at Askern Villa.
Like Bridlington, they were three up by the break with goals from Max Joice, Martin Scully and Marc Townsend in the opening twenty minutes.
Mark Stuart made it four just after half-time before Lee Wilkinson grabbed a consolation for the home side with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining.
