Bridlington Town are the new leaders of the KoolSport NCEL Premier Division after a 5-2 win at home to Shirebrook Town.
But, it had to take a three goal spurt in six minutes towards the end of the game to finish off their plucky visitors.
The score was level at the interval after Simon Johnson's half-hour equaliser for Shirebrook cancelled out an early opener from Jack Wilkinson.
Danny Buttle put Brid ahead on 51 minutes from the spot but Johnson's second made it 2-2 going into the last quarter of the game.
But, Alex Rhodes then struck twice and Tom Lee also found the net for the home side to ensure the victory.
Shirebrook drop back into the bottom three as Hallam leapfrog over them with a 3-0 win at home to Dinnington Town.
Simon Asquith made it 21 for the season for him as he struck twice and Christopher Wood got the third, all in the first 23 minutes of the game at Sandygate.
Bottom side Brodsworth Welfare finally broke their duck with a 2-2 draw at home to Arnold Town, Dean Lackie's second of the evening with five minutes remaining helping them to their first point of the season.
Winterton Rangers climb to sixth after a 4-0 win over visitors Parkgate - Liam Wilkin with a brace, added to by goals from Rick Day and Robert Sanderson.
Chas Wrigley and Michael MacNaughton made sure of a precious away win for Pickering Town, 2-1 at Lincoln Moorlands Railway.
Bottesford Town and Staveley Miners Welfare became the first two sides through to the Semi-Finals of the Wilkinson Sword Trophy.
Bottesford won 3-0 at home to Yorkshire Amateur, Paul Chatterton's first half penalty added to in the second period by goals from Daniel Hope and Craig Mitchell.
Staveley also took the lead with a spot kick against Teversal at Inkersall Road, Ryan Damms converted that before Jamie Smith made sure of their progression in the 72nd minute.
Only two NCEL sides progressed into the Second Round of the West Riding County Cup from this week's First Round ties.
Askern Villa were 3-1 winners at home to league rivals Leeds Carnegie after they went behind to an 18th minute Jamie McCafferty goal.
Mark Vickerage and Daniel Ferguson had them ahead by the break and Curtis Walker made sure of the win early in the second period.
Selby Town beat visitors Pontefract Collieries 4-0, an opener from Adam Russell and a Duncan Bray penalty had them in control by the 21st minute.
Matthew Sparkes and Stuart Dove added to the scoreline after half-time.
Of those who went out of the competition, Tadcaster Albion were the most unfortunate as they went down 3-2 at home to Guiseley in extra-time.
Eccleshill United and Glasshoughton Welfare bowed out on their travels to Wakefield and Silsden, respectively.
Armthorpe Welfare were beaten 4-1 at home by Ossett Albion whilst Ossett Town dispatched hosts Thackley, 2-1.
