After discussions with the Football Association regarding the postponement of fixtures on Saturday, the following has been decided.

For this date only, the Home Club Secretary shall have the authority to postpone the fixture from Friday 8th January onwards if it is obvious that the conditions will not allow the game to be played.

In making this allowance, both the competition and The Football Association would encourage clubs to substantiate this by the use of photographic evidence wherever possible.

By taking this early action, both the League and The Football Association are safeguarding the health and safety of club officials and inspecting match officials by avoiding unnecessary travel and it is hoped that all clubs take a responsible attitude towards this allowance.

Would all clubs on reaching a postponement please advise the competition, their opponents and match officials immediately.
