Glapwell Bring Blunt In As Scout
4th February, 2008
Glapwell have appointed former Sutton Town manager Jason Blunt as their Chief Scout with immediate effect.
His role will be to work with the current management team and responsibilities will include the recruitment of senior players into the first team squad.
He will also be looking for young talent, both at academic and professional level, as well as compiling match analysis reports for this and next season.
The club say that 30-year-old Blunt, who had spells as a player at Doncaster Rovers, Halifax, Tamworth and Scarborough, is the perfect man for the job.
Operations Director Kevin Gee said: "Jason has a wealth of experience both as a player and a coach and his networking and experiences will prove a major acquisition to a developing club like ourselves.
"It is very difficult sometimes getting out there to look at both the opposition and the recruitment of players once the season begins.
"So, we believe that Jason's appointment will be invaluable as the club continues to develop."
