Parkgate midfielder Matt Outram has made the move up the National League System to play for Stocksbridge Park Steels.

The UniBond Division One South side announced the news of boss Garry Marrow's third acquisition yesterday.

Outram helped Parkgate to the NCEL Division One Title last season before signing for Alfreton in the summer.

Things didn't work out there and he went back to the Green Lane side, turning down a move to Park Steels at that time.

He has since been on form scoring eight goals to help Parkgate into eighth position.

A club official said: "This is a great signing for Stocksbridge as Gary has got him for free.

"Also, our rivals Sheffield FC were interested in him but Gary got his man after some tough negotiations last week."
