Injury Blow For Rangers
31st August, 2007
Winterton Rangers favourite Mark Whitehouse is expected to be out of action for six to eight weeks after fracturing a cheekbone.
It happened during the recent FA Cup tie with Armthorpe Welfare when he was involved in a collision with Rangers keeper Ben Simpson that saw Mark concussed and eventually taken to hospital in an ambulance.
Mark was a star performer during Winterton's promotion push last year, converting from left side midfield to full back.
And, he had started this season in defence performing very well in the opening games.
A club spokesperson said: "Mark visited Rangers for the league game with Mickleover Sports last Saturday sporting a very swollen and bruised face, but in a positive frame of mind.
"We used him to scare the kids off the pitch!"
All wish him a speedy recovery.
