After weeks of speculation, it has been officially confirmed that Shirebrook Town joint manager Stuart Greenwood has left the club.

The team's official website says: "Stuart Greenwood has verbally resigned as First Team Manager of Shirebrook Town.

"The committee would like to thank Stuart for all his hard work in the past and hopes still remain that Stuart will remain involved with the club in some capacity."

Stuart, along with his colleague Graham Charlesworth, had been in charge whilst the club made its move up from the Central Midlands League into the Northern Counties East League Premier Division.

However, a disappointing campaign last time round saw them finish next-to-bottom but they were spared relegation as four Premier Division clubs left the League due to restructuring.
