Armthorpe Welfare player Kieran Baskerville is taking on his dad, Steve Baskerville, in a charity race with a difference to raise funds for the NHS as well as for the football club.As their daily exercise on Sunday 10th May at Doncaster's Town Fields, 50-year-old Steve will run 5km while 20-year-old Kieran will cycle 10km on his mountain bike.
But, for an added twist, the person who raises the most money out of the pair will get a thirty second head start in the race.
The charity race will be done in full compliance with Government rules including social distancing.
Steve and Kieran have decided that money raised from the event will be shared 50/50 between the NHS and the football club, for which Welfare have thanked them tremendously for their generous gesture.
So get donating and let us see who can raise the most - and who can win the race!
