Management change at Rail
27th January, 2020
Harrogate Railway Athletic have announced a change of management team as they battle to avoid relegation from Toolstation NCEL Division One.
The Rail find themselves in the drop zone, eight points away from safety, after they started the second half of their league season with a 4-1 defeat at Dronfield Town on Saturday.
A statement released on Monday morning by the Station View club said: "?It is by mutual agreement that our management team of Des Macorison, Danny Scott and Lee Ryan have left the club with immediate effect.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their work and commitment during their tenure. We wish them every success for the future."
Replacing them will be Mick O'Connell as manager with Josh Walsh and Wil Golby as his assistants.
The club statement added: "It doesn't need pointing out that this is a tough time to be taking over as our management team.
"But, all three are prepared for the challenge and will be committed to the cause of rescuing our season and ultimately our footballing future.
"We wish them every success and give them all the support they need to succeed."
Harrogate do not have a game this weekend so the trio's first match in charge will be at home to Parkgate on Saturday 8th February, 2020.
