Windass named as new East Hull boss
24th September, 2019
Former Hull City striker Dean Windass has been appointed as the new manager of Toolstation NCEL Division One side East Hull.
The 50-year-old, who also played for clubs including Aberdeen, Bradford City and Oxford United in his professional career before appearing in the NCEL for Barton Town Old Boys and Scarborough Athletic, replaces Andy Watts as the club looks to move off the bottom of the table.
East Hull, who changed their name from East Yorkshire Carnegie in the summer, have had a disappointing start to the league season having lost their nine matches so far and they hope the arrival of Windass will turn around their fortunes.
The club made the announcement on social media on Tuesday afternoon and Windass' first game in charge will be the side's trip to Winterton Rangers a week on Saturday with Watts taking charge for the final time at home to Campion this weekend.
