Carnegie Match Is Free
19th October, 2007
Leeds Met Carnegie have announced that tomorrow's NCEL Division One match against AFC Emley will be free admission.
It will be part of a 'Football Festival' throughout the day.
Students, staff, alumni and friends of the university are invited to join in the family fun at the home of Leeds Met Carnegie, Farsley Celtic's Throstle Nest ground.
At the festival, local school children who are part of the partnership with Leeds Schools FA and Leeds Met Carnegie FC, will take part in a mini football tournament.
There will also be activities and entertainment throughout the day, including a bouncy castle, samba band and refreshments.
The festival starts at 12.30pm and tickets are available from Leeds Met's Headingley Campus or Civic Quarter Campus.
Alternatively just come along on the day and experience Leeds Met Carnegie F.C. for free.
Secretary and co-organiser James Earl said: "Leeds Met Carnegie FC are working hard to reintroduce the family atmosphere to the grass roots game and are hoping that this day will be a great advert for Northern Counties East football."
The Met have started to find form and, after a convincing win last weekend at Borrowash Victoria, the side - made up of students and alumni of Leeds Met - will be looking to gather momentum and climb the league ladder.
