Record Breaking Teversal

11th October, 2007

Teversal boss Stace Leaper has praised his players after they climbed to a club record league position of second in Division One.

The Carnarvon Street club hit their best ever position on Saturday after they defeated basement-club Rossington Main 3-2.

Leaper told Chad: "I am very happy with the players. They are showing great character and desire. There are still a few too many silly errors being made but we are on the right
track.

"They are enjoying their football and there is a good atmosphere in the dressing room.

"We are in our best ever position and we are very pleased to be where we are in the league.

"It is great credit to everyone connected with the club, players, backroom staff and the board have all done a great job."

But, delighted Leaper has also warned his squad to keep their feet firmly on the ground despite their lofty position.

"We have to take one game at a time. If we finish inside the top ten at the end of the season I think it will still have been a great season for us."
