Teversal Preparations Going To Plan
18th July, 2007
Teversal feel they are well on their way to producing their best-ever season at Carnarvon Street.
They made a winning start to their pre-season programme when they came out on top at Premier Division hosts Hallam last Thursday.
New boys Glen Fidler and Jack Townroe got the goals, before Hallam pulled one back two minutes from time.
Teversal fielded two completely different sides, one in each half, in a productive workout.
Meanwhile, Teversal have completed the rebuilding of the clubhouse which was badly damaged by storms midway through last season.
The club have also launched a new U19 side in the North Midlands League, with former Sutton Town favourite Colin Thacker as manager.
Club secretary Kevin Newton told the Mansfield Chad: "Most of last season's squad have re-signed and we are seeing a number of new faces at training too so there will be additions to the squad.
"Everything is falling into place, there's a great atmosphere and renewed optimism within the club and we are seeing a restoration of the old 'Tevie spirit'."
