Staveley Unveil New Management Team
28th April, 2008
Staveley Miners Welfare have appointed Steve Ludlam as their new manager with Shaun Hird joining as his assistant.
The vacancies were advertised over a week ago after it was announced that Nigel Ransom and Don Morton were stepping down.
Interest was immediately shown by a high number of applicants from varying steps of the National League System and with highly qualified coaching levels.
Steve is willing to work within the clubs ethos of developing youth football and the club felt that his experience playing professional football at Sheffield United, Carlisle United and Chester City and his coaching qualifications could not be overlooked.
Steve's assistant, Shaun Hird, has worked at UniBond level and with Steve before at local non-league clubs and that combination and experience is seen by the club as a huge positive step towards their plans for the future.
