Leeds Met Watched By Ex-England Boss
22nd April, 2008
Leeds Met Carnegie's 3-0 NCEL Division One win over Pontefract Collieries last night was watched by a very special guest.
Former England manager Glenn Hoddle was part of the crowd at Throstle Nest to see a brace from John Forrest and a Kev Ryan strike seal the points.
He was visiting the University to support an awards evening for those who spend all their free-time running the clubs there on a voluntary basis.
His appearance at the game was a pleasant surprise for the players and supporters and the night got even better as the victory secured them a top seven finish in their opening season in the NCEL.
