Staveley Accept Management Resignation

19th April, 2008

Nigel Ransom and Don Morton will be stepping down as manager and assistant manager of Staveley Miners Welfare at the end of the season.

Their last game will be at Scarborough Athletic on Saturday 26th April.

In a statement, the Inkersall Road outfit said: "Following a series of meetings and discussions during the course of this week, the club felt that it was in the best interests of the long term future of the club that their resignations be accepted this week and as a result both Nigel and Don have left the club.

"Both Nigel and Don have been instrumental in the club's success since the new era was formed in June last year.

"The club would thank both of them for their tireless effort and commitment during the course of the season and wish them well for the future."

The club say that they will be looking to appoint a new management team as soon as is practically possible.
