Emley Begin Managerial Search
18th April, 2008
AFC Emley have drawn up a shortlist of applicants and interviews will begin soon for their vacant manager's post.
Ray Dennis stepped down around three weeks ago with the side midtable in NCEL Division One.
His assistant Nicky Bramald was installed as caretaker boss but, after not achieving the results he was expecting, he has also decided to stand down at the end of the season.
Both will remain on the club's committee.
Meanwhile, repairs are due to start on the floodlight pylon that caught fire at AFC Emley's ground during a league match last month.
A short circuit occurred after heavy rain was blown into it by strong winds causing the Division One clash with Bottesford Town to be abandoned.
The work is expected to begin on the 30th of April and will take a few days to complete.
