A Wayne Aziz goal ten minutes from time moved Pickering Town back to the summit of the Premier Division table in midweek.

The Pikes won 1-0 at Thackley on Tuesday evening to make it eight wins in a row.

They are two points clear of Glapwell who lost their 100% record but remain unbeaten after a 1-1 draw at home to Liversedge.

On Wednesday night, goals in each half from Scott Downie and Alex Steadman saw Long Eaton United claim a 2-1 victory at Lincoln Moorlands.

And, four goals were shared at Muglet Lane between Maltby Main and Selby Town with the home side twice having to come from behind.

Christian Fox put the Robins exactly halfway through the first period before Luke Fletcher levelled matters ten minutes later.

Tom Reid then restored the visitors advantage early in the second half but Ashley Longstaff's 58th-minute strike made it 2-2.

The Third Round draw for the NCEL League Cup has now been completed after the last Second Round game was played on Wednesday.

Hall Road Rangers will go to Winterton Rangers after a 3-1 home win over Worsbrough Bridge Athletic.

Ryan Pleasants put Athletic ahead but it was all Hall Road after that with strikes from Mike Gibson, Jamie Barnwell and Martin Thacker.

Scarborough Athletic progressed in the North Riding Senior Cup with a comfortable 4-0 win over Fishburn Park in a game that was played at Whitby Town's ground.

Ryan Blott and Craig Hogg both scored in the dying seconds of the opening half before Scott Phillips penalty and a goal from Mark Griffin in the 86th minute made it a good night for the Seadogs.

And, in the BUSA Premier League North, Leeds Met Carnegie tasted their second defeat in that competition with a 1-0 loss at Loughborough University.
