A fundraiser has been set up by a former Toolstation NCEL side to help the family of a well-loved footballer who tragically passed away at the weekend at the age of 25.The organisers hope to raise £10,000 that will go to the loved ones of Jordan Sinnott who was found unconscious after he had been attacked whilst out in Retford on Friday night.
Jordan, who suffered a fractured skull, died the following evening, leading to many tributes for the midfielder who had begun his career at Huddersfield Town before spells at Altrincham, Bury, Chesterfield, Alfreton Town and, most recently, Matlock Town.
A Crowdfunder page has now been set up by officials at Alfreton, saying: "Jordan Sinnott was an amazing, talented footballer who loved nothing else but being with his family and football.
"Sadly, Jordan was attacked in the early hours of the 25th of January and passed later on in the evening after the life support was turned off.
"Jordan was a young man who has a young family whom he loved very much.
"Jordan will be missed by all.
"With love from Alfreton Town directors and supporters."
The page will be left open until 4:44pm on Sunday 23rd February, 2020, and you can find out more by

All of the NCEL send our deepest condolences to Jordan's family and friends as well as to everyone at Alfreton Town and all of his previous clubs.
