NCEL Clubs Top In FA Vase

29th September, 2007

Northern Counties East League clubs are the biggest money-earners so far in this year's FA Vase.

With seventeen teams remaining in the competition as it goes into the First Round Proper stage, teams from our League have amassed a total of ?9,200 in prize money.

That's more than any other League that has entered the tournament.

And, when FA Cup prize money is taken into account as well, the NCEL is seventh in the rankings with ?25,700 and are the third-placed Step 5 League.

With five sides still in the FA Cup, that figure can rise even further.

Well done to all the clubs who have been successful so far and good luck to our teams in future rounds.
