Six New Clubs For NCEL
15th May, 2008
It has been confirmed that six new clubs have been accepted into the KoolSport Northern Counties East League, subject to approval at the AGM.
The FA have accepted the proposals that will mean that both Divisions in the League will include twenty teams.
Bridlington Town have made the move down from the UniBond League where they will be replaced by Premier Division runners-up, Glapwell.
Three clubs will be coming in from the Central Midlands League, champions Askern Welfare as well as Appleby Frodingham and Grimsby Borough.
And, Brighouse Town and Hemsworth Miners Welfare will be joining us from the West Riding County Amateur League.
Two teams will be leaving us - Division One sides Borrowash Victoria and Gedling Town - to join the new Step 6 East Midlands League.
The proposed make-up of both divisions is yet to be ratified by the League's Management Board.
And, the NCEL would like to wish all our teams, including those who are leaving us, all the very best in the future.
All proposals will need to be ratified at the League's Annual General Meeting that takes place on Saturday the 21st of June.
