Villagers evening with former MP

11th August, 2021

North Ferriby's One Point Sports Bar is the venue for an evening with Alan Johnson, the former MP for Hull, on Thursday evening (12th).

The event's organisers say that it does not matter about your political persuasion as Alan has some fantastic stories from his time in Parliament, his time growing up in London, and his life in Hull.

Former Labour Minister Alan is an accomplished author plus a former postman, failed rock star, star of the Masked Singer and so much more.

He will also be signing copies of his books that will be on sale on the evening.

The bar, at the Dransfield Stadium, opens at 6pm with the event starting at 7:30pm and admission is free.

The event is being run by the Toolstation NCEL Division One team's supporters club.

Villagers unveil refurbished changing rooms

9th July, 2021

Thanks to grant funding courtesy of The Football Foundation, North Ferriby have officially re-opened their changing rooms following a total refurbishment.

Former England International and local football legend Nick Barmby handed over the keys to Villagers manager Chris Bolder.

Les Hare, chairman of the Toolstation NCEL Division One club, said: "I'm humbled and privileged that such an iconic local footballing legend has given up his time to come and officially open our wonderful new facility.

"Not only did Nick hand over the keys to Chris, but he also noticed our under 9s were training and stayed on to pay them a visit too."

North Ferriby's first team will be able to use the facilities for the first time on Saturday when former NCEL side Pickering Town visit the Dransfield Stadium for a pre-season friendly.
