Management Team Steps Down at Teversal
29th September, 2013
Jamie Hudson and Jeff Bostock have resigned as the joint management team at Teversal, the Carnarvon Street club has announced.
A statement from the Toolstation NCEL Division One side read: "Jamie stepped down on Wednesday with immediate effect, wishing to take a break from the game, whilst Jeff has agreed to continue in his role until a replacement can be found.
"All at the club would like to formally put on record what a tremendous job Jamie and for the last year Jeff has done with them taking the club to their highest league position in the National League system last season, and would like to put on record our gratitude for their efforts.
"In addition a promising start to the current campaign has seen the club look like they can better last season's efforts in Toolstation Northern Counties East League, but early exits in both the FA Cup and FA Vase has been a disappointment after going out to higher level clubs.
"The delay in releasing the news was done to allow the players to receive the news first hand from Club Officials before their disappointing 1-0 defeat at Dinnington Town (on Saturday). It is now the aim of the club to ensure the disruption is kept to a minimum as the search for a new Manager/s commences.
"The club are now looking at filling the post as soon as possible and anyone who would like the opportunity to discuss the chance in leading the Tevie senior section who are ambitious but a realistic club, then they should register their interest as soon as possible by telephone, text or email Chairman Peter Cockerill on 07870 556918, Peter.Cockerill@Teversalfc.co.uk or Football Secretary Kevin Newton on 07711 358060, Kevin.Newton@Teversalfc.co.uk.
"The club are not setting deadlines for this post, but hope to have the right candidate in post sooner rather than later."
