The Toolstation NCEL's final representative in the FA Cup with Budweiser bowed out of the competition but Brighouse Town left it with their heads held high with an excellent performance at Skrill North side Stockport County.
Only a long range shot from Kyle Jacobs in the 66th minute separated the sides in what was a close encounter which Brighouse could have won if they had taken their chances in front of a crowd of 1,704 at Edgeley Park.
Tadcaster Albion are the new leaders of the Premier Division, replacing Thackley who were beaten 2-1 at home by Bridlington Town.
Tom Fleming and Joel Sutton got the goals for Bridlington in the first half before Matthew Mathers threatened a comeback when he pulled one back for Thackley on 80 minutes.

Basement side Dinnington Town earned their first victory of the season with a 1-0 home defeat of Teversal, Liam Cartledge with the goal on 58 minutes.
Appleby Frodingham are back in the bottom two after their 2-1 defeat at fellow strugglers Dronfield Town, Andy Gange getting what proved to be the winner with fifteen minutes remaining.
There were two goals for Danny Stevens in Louth Town's 3-1 home victory over Selby Town whilst Hall Road Rangers enjoyed a 5-2 win on their own patch against Hemsworth Miners Welfare.
Worsbrough Bridge Athletic came from 3-1 down to claim a point at home to Clipstone, Adam Podmore getting his second of the afternoon before Lee Garside levelled from the penalty spot on 83 minutes.
And, Shirebrook Town stay seventh after their 2-0 home win against Yorkshire Amateur, Craig Getliff and Aaron Moxam with the goals.
