Manager search begins at Tigers

7th May, 2017

Worksop Town are looking to recruit an experienced manager with a proven track record in non-league football at steps 4, 5 or 6 and above.

Essential to the role is the fact that the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division club require a very minimum of an FA level 2 coaching badge.

The manager will be an integral part of the club's structure and work comfortably alongside a management group to achieve their long term goals.

Central to the role of manager will be to uphold the culture and ambitions of the club with main duties including:

- Selecting and motivating players;
- Planning efficient tactics and strategy which align with the club ethos;
- Delegating duties and managing a team of staff;
- Identifying talented players suitable for recruitment;
- Regularly facing the media and contributing to the club's social media and website content as a face of the club;
- Taking into consideration the finances of the club and helping to maintain targets by following job specification;
- Providing support and advice to players and staff;
- Attending any meetings with players/staff or the management group where required;
- Following the club's child protection, health and safety and emergency procedures and policies.

Also, the club are looking for some essential personal attributes to align with its image.

To achieve this, they require a highly focused individual to restore the club to its former glories on the pitch and be a reliable leader who is firmly aware of how the modern game is developing.

As a representative of the club, they are looking for someone with great communication skills, along with a pro-active attitude towards learning and to developing others.

The successful candidate will have an extensive knowledge of non-league football and be able to present a vision of what an exciting style of play means to them for the upcoming season 17/18, whilst also demonstrating a constructive and thoughtful outlook on football management.

Desirably, they will have some experience of contributing to or implementing a club development plan, they will not be reliant solely on the club for income and live within reasonable travelling distance of Worksop in order to carry out duties with ease.

Anyone who has already expressed an interest must now apply through the following channels with the closing date being Sunday 14th May, 2017, at 5pm.

Applicants are required to send a covering letter and CV via email to Dave Crisp at sundayleaguefootball@btinternet.com or by post, addressed to Mr Richard Brandon at Worksop Town Football Club, Windsor Food Service Stadium, Babbage Way, Sandy Lane, S80 1UJ.
