New assistant boss at Welfare
26th February, 2017
Armthorpe Welfare manager Mike Carmody has promoted Ben Chapman from first team coach to assistant boss, replacing Gary Collier who has stepped down from the position.
Chapman joined the Welfare's coaching team at the beginning of January having gained a wealth of experience at Football League and top level Non-League football.
Collier was appointed assistant manager when Carmody took over the manager's position at the Welfare in September last year and, although no longer part of the management team, he will still be available for selection as a player.
Carmody said: "I'd like to thank Gary for all his efforts assisting me when I took over. He's been a great help in moving the club forward but I know Gary's heart lies in playing, which I respect fully."
