Abandoned match result to stand
26th March, 2017
The Toolstation Northern Counties East Football League have ruled that the result of the abandoned Division One match between Hall Road Rangers and Shirebrook Town will stand.
The game, that took place at Haworth Park on Saturday 17th December, was called off at half-time with Rangers leading 3-0.
The league's management board discussed the incident at its March meeting after the relevant County FAs had dealt with the disciplinary issues arising out of the events.
After taking into account all of the known evidence including match officials reports and correspondence from both clubs, the decision is as per League Rule 8.3.4 which states:
In the event of a match being abandoned due to the conduct of one Club or its members or supporters the Board has the power to order that the match is not replayed and to award either one or three points to the Club not at fault. It cannot levy a financial penalty due to the conduct of a Club.
Therefore, the result of the match will stand as at the time of abandonment and the match will not be replayed.
The Division One league table will be amended to include the result now that a fourteen-day period for any appeal has passed.
