Millington takes reins at Dronfield
27th February, 2017
Dronfield Town have announced that Chris Millington has returned to the club to become the manager of its Toolstation NCEL Division One side.
He was assistant to previous boss Craig Butler when they were promoted to the NCEL in 2013/14 before leaving to take the helm at Clipstone where he won the Division One title a year later.
Accompanying Millington will be Nick Siddons as his assistant and they will take charge of the home game against Brigg Town on Tuesday (28th), assisted by reserve manager Adam Brown and U21 boss Craig Wilson.
On his appointment, Millington said: "It's an honour to be offered the job of my home town club, a club that has been close to my heart for many years.
"It is with excitement that I start this role with a real focus on how we can develop the good young group of players that we currently have at the club.
"We will also be setting achievable targets to make sure that the club is moving forward on the pitch.
"I would like to thank Craig for the success he has brought to the club during his time as manager.
"Our first game in charge will be Tuesday night at home to Brigg where we will be looking to get off to a good start."
