Bacon joins backroom team
11th July, 2016
Former Mansfield Town striker Danny Bacon has become a part of Teversal's backroom staff as their preparations for the 2016/17 Toolstation NCEL Division One season get well underway.
Dean Short continues as manager at Carnarvon Street with Craig Charlesworth as his assistant but Bacon, who made 44 league appearances for the Stags, has become player coach.
Bacon's playing career also included spells at Hucknall Town, Lincoln City, Burton Albion, Worksop Town and Hednesford Town before he joined Rainworth Miners Welfare and then got some managerial experience whilst at Shirebrook Town and Blidworth Welfare.
Having joined the Tevie Boys as a player towards the end of last season, Short spoke with Bacon and decided that adding that wealth of experience to his management team but also his playing options will be a major asset in continuing the development of his young squad.
Teversal's pre-season schedule begins this Saturday (16th) with a home game against near neighbours Rainworth.
