A 37th minute goal from Blake Gregory booked a place in the Third Round of this season's JCP Construction League Cup for Bottesford Town in midweek.The Poachers defeated
Harrogate Railway Athletic by that single goal in a tie that had been switched to Bottesford's 3G surface due to the recent bad weather.
Only five games went ahead on Tuesday as heavy rain led to a glut of waterlogged pitches but two matches each in the Premier Division and Division One survived the downpour.
Bradley Walker netted both of
Knaresborough Town's goals, one in each half, as they beat visitors
Silsden AFC 2-0 to move up to twelfth in the top flight whilst Silsden remain in sixth.
And, all of the goals came in the opening quarter of
Tadcaster Albion's 2-1 home victory over
Garforth Town.
Samuel Kay's early strike for the hosting Brewers was cancelled out by Jordan Emery on nine minutes before Daniel Thirkell grabbed what turned out to be the winner midway through the opening period and Tadcaster climb to fourteenth and Garforth stay fifth.
In Division One,
Yorkshire Amateur were 2-1 winners at
Horbury Town to open the gap between themselves and the bottom three to seven points, Yasen Omar and Finlay Wade with first half strikes before a late consolation from Samuel Awty for their eighth-placed hosts.
And,
Retford FC defeated visitors
Clay Cross Town 5-1, a Liam Frost brace added to by Steven Wankiewicz, Harvey Rodgers and Aaron Sennett-Neilson whilst Kane Snell struck what was an equaliser for the away side around the half-hour mark.
The victorious Choughs move up to eleventh in the table whilst Clay Cross stay seventeenth.
