Liam Marsh, who is an assistant referee for Toolstation NCEL Division One matches, has been selected to run the line for an England U15s game next month. The Three Lions take on Belgium at St George's Park in Burton on Thursday 16th February, 2017.
The match officials have been appointed through the FA CORE Programme and 19-year-old Liam is thrilled to have been selected for the game.
He told the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA's website: "I am honoured and delighted to have been appointed to this international fixture.
"I could not have done this without the help from the Referee Development Programme at Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA and my performance coach Dave Benton.
"It just goes to show that if you work hard at something, anything is possible!"
Liam (pictured below, centre) added that his target for the coming season is to gain promotion to Level 4 and then keep working hard and hopefully moving up the refereeing ladder.
