Here is the latest list of friendlies involving Toolstation NCEL teams this summer along with clubs who are looking for pre-season matches and details of when training will commence at some of our sides.

Toolstation NCEL season begins


Pre-season training and trials

Armthorpe Welfare, of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division, are looking for players proven at step 5, or any player that thinks they have what it takes to make the step up to step 5, for trials. Ring manager Brian Johnston for more information on 07872 965027.


Clubs wanting friendlies

Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side Armthorpe Welfare are looking for an away friendly on Saturday 30th July with a team at Step 6 or above, preferably a non-NCEL team. Anyone interested, get in touch with manager Brian Johnston on 07872 965027 or at armthorpe.welfare@hotmail.co.uk.

Sunday side Seacroft WMC are looking for pre-season friendlies against NCEL sides. They play in the highest tier of football within the Leeds area and were league and District Cup winners. Their team consists of current and past NCEL players so they say the game will be competitive and worthwhile. They have had matches in the past with Ossett Town and Yorkshire Amateur. Travelling is not a problem but they have their own private pitch with changing/shower facilities and also bar facilities. Contact: Les Nelson at lesnelson@outlook.com.

Toolstation NCEL Division One side Pontefract Collieries are looking for a home friendly on Saturday 30th July, 2016. Contact: Manager Craig Parry on 07960 620055.

Brighouse Town of the Evo-Stik League are looking for a couple of home friendlies in the first week of August and, possibly one in July. Contact: Secretary David Parker on 07769 860694 or by email at dave.parker2000@btinternet.com.

Grimsby side CGB Humbertherm of the Lincolnshire League are looking for pre-season friendlies, either home or away, from Saturday 9th July with the option of midweek games. Although playing at a different level, for the past three seasons they have enjoyed friendlies against NCEL Premier Division and Division One sides who will confirm it was a worthwhile exercise.
