Newell is new Zebras boss

5th September, 2020

Toolstation NCEL Division One side Brigg Town have announced the appointment of Marcus Newell as their new first team manager.

Newell's first competitive game in charge will be a Buildbase FA Vase match at home to Lincolnshire rivals Winterton Rangers in a fortnight's time, a cup competition he knows very well having guided Cleethorpes Town to the final at Wembley Stadium in 2017.

He also won the NCEL Division One title as well as claiming a Premier Division and League Cup double during his time in the dugout at the Owls.

Brigg's league campaign begins with a home game against Nostell Miners Welfare on Tuesday 23rd September, 2020.
