There has been a change of manager at Toolstation NCEL Premier Division strugglers Retford United with Chris Sellars replacing Rich Williams.

Due to other commitments, Williams, who was interim boss at the Badgers since January, has decided to concentrate on his role as a development officer at the club and will remain as secretary until the end of the season.

He took charge of the first team, which could only name ten players, for the final time in last night's 11-0 defeat at the hands of high-flying Bridlington Town and Retford United have thanked Williams for his hard work and efforts over the last few weeks.

Sellars' first game in charge will be in Humberside this Saturday as the Badgers take on Barton Town Old Boys.

He is a UEFA A qualified coach with extensive experience of coaching at both amateur and professional levels, and he has some recent experience of managing at NCEL level.

This is a double-signing for Retford as Sellars brings with him to the Jones & Co. Stadium Wayne Thompson as his assistant.
