Rec part company with Clarkson

The board of directors at NCEL Division One club Athersley Recreation have announced they have decided to part ways with manager Paul Clarkson.
His eighteen month spell at Sheerien Park comes to an end following the climax of the 2024/25 season where a 4-1 defeat at promotion-chasing Wombwell Town on Saturday saw the Rec finish the campaign in eighteenth spot.
The statement added: "We would like to thank Paul for all his hard work on and off the field and we wish him well for the future."
