Charity game for Briggers

25th July, 2017

Worsbrough Bridge Athletic will play Ossett Town at Park Road this Wednesday as part of their pre-season programme and to raise awareness of and donations towards the fight against testicular cancer.

They are promoting Love Your Balls, run by the Mark Gorry Foundation, a charity named after its founder who died in 2009 at the age of just 23.

Club secretary and vice chairman Mark Booth said: "The charity has offered us great financial support over the last twelve months and we are delighted to be able to play a game in support of this great cause.

"We hope that as many people as possible come down to support the charity and watch the Briggers against Evo-Stik League opposition.

"Kick off is 7:45pm with admission 5 for adults and 3 concessions.

"There will also be collection buckets so please donate as generously as you can and help us to raise awareness of testicular cancer."
