Teversal announce new management team
14th March, 2015
Teversal have announced who has taken charge of their Toolstation NCEL Division One team following the departure of Scott Simpson and Jason Truscott last weekend.
A statement from the Carnarvon Street side said: "Dean Short as manager with Craig Charlesworth (assistant manager) and Dean Mitchell (coach) take the reins with the clear target of maintaining our step 6 status and then to improve things going into the new season after having the benefit of a full pre-season.
"All three have proven ability at this level having led a successful team at Sutton Town AFC before the ill-fated club folded. Since then, they have assisted at Rainworth Miners Welfare this term before turning the fortunes at AFC Mansfield before being replaced by the high profile appointment of Rudy Funk.
"Due to prior engagements, the new management team will take official charge on Monday 16th March in preparation for the mouth-watering local derby with Shirebrook Town.
"Therefore, this Saturday, Chris Riley (reserves manager) will take charge for the trip to Winterton Rangers.
"Chairman Pete Cockerill stated that he and his directors are happy to be able to bring such an experience team who share the same aims as the club and hopefully will bring back the belief back to the squad that we have in them.
"Obviously, we welcome them with open arms and wish them all the best in their duties."
