Dronfield Town's Nick Horsfield has reached a remarkable milestone for the Toolstation NCEL Division One club.

Before last Wednesday's league clash at home to Bottesford Town, he was presented with an award for reaching 350 appearances for the Derbyshire side.

In fact, Horsfield has played for the first team ever since it was formed and is the only player to play in all Hope Valley League divisions, the Midland Regional Alliance divisions, both Central Midlands League Premier and Supreme divisions and he is now enjoying his second campaign in the NCEL.

It means he has helped the club achieve promotion from eight different leagues and has won eight different cups along the way.

Manager Craig Butler said: "Managing Nick is an absolute pleasure where his kind, quiet nature is masked by an inner drive, determination and will to compete and succeed.

"Nick is very well respected within Dronfield and miles beyond, and I am personally delighted he's achieved such a tremendous milestone."
