23rd October, 2014
Dronfield Town are the final team to take their place in the next round of the FA Vase after winning their Second Round of Qualifying replay at Toolstation NCEL rivals Maltby Main in midweek.
The tie, which was completed later than all the other matches in the round after the original replay was abandoned due to a serious injury to a player, was decided by goals for Nick Horsfield and Christian Savage for the Division One side as they upset their Premier Division hosts and they will now be at home to Chadderton in the First Round a week on Saturday.
In the Premier Division, basement side Nostell Miners Welfare picked up their first win of the season, beating visitors Glasshoughton Welfare, 3-0, Mark Simpson's second-half double adding to a Jermaine Moyce opener towards the end of the first period.
Nostell remain bottom but are now just two points behind Armthorpe Welfare and three behind Glasshoughton and Retford United.
Staveley Miners Welfare leapfrogged hosts Barton Town Old Boys into fifth spot after a 1-0 victory, Jordan Eagers with the decider on 66 minutes.
And, Louis Grant netted twice in Cleethorpes Town's 4-1 home win over Garforth Town to move his side up to eighth in a game where all five goals came before the interval.
Clipstone missed out on a chance to close the gap on Division One leaders AFC Emley as they went down 2-1 at Selby Town, Matty Start and Ryan Robinson putting the Robins well in control by the eleventh minute before Josh Gibson's strike early in the second half proved to be just a consolation for the visitors.
A Nicholas Guest brace helped Hemsworth Miners Welfare to a 3-0 victory at Knaresborough Town to climb up into fourth and Shirebrook Town are now sixth after their 4-2 home win against Worsbrough Bridge Athletic, Liam Morris with two of their goals.
But, Louth Town's Jamie Coulson went one better as he scored a hat-trick in their 3-0 win at Rossington Main and his side are now up to thirteenth in the table.
