The match officials for the inaugural Toolstation Cup which takes place later this month have been announced.Knaresborough Town of the NCEL will take on Bristol Manor Farm of the Western League at Staveley Miners Welfare's Inkersall Road ground on Saturday 26th July, kick-off 3pm.
The referee will be Bobby Madley (West Yorkshire) who's a former NCEL match official and, at 28, is now one of youngest referees in the Barclays Premier League. He is also a Referees Development Officer for West Riding County FA.
His assistants have been named as Ryan Henger (South Yorkshire) and Gareth Thomas (West Yorkshire) whilst the fourth official will be Robert Woodburn (South Yorkshire).
The interleague match has been set up by Toolstation who sponsor both of the competitions involved and proceeds from the game will go to charities RNLI and Asthma UK, the latter coming after the tragic death of Lincoln Moorlands Railway keeper Haydn Green who died at the age of 21 following a sudden asthma attack this summer.
Entry will be free but donations for the charities will be collected during the match and there will also be a half-time raffle.
Toolstation director Neil Carroll said: "We have sponsored the Western League for some time and are now about to enter our second season of a long term sponsorship with the NCEL.
"It can be hard for clubs to secure the financial support they need to continue their roles within the local communities, and we are honoured to be able to assist and hope this new competition between the leagues will create another competitive edge for the clubs involved."
