Following Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Grimsby Borough, Worsbrough Bridge Athletic's first team manager Mark Joyce and coach Phil Jacobs have made the decision to leave the club with immediate effect.
A statement from the Toolstation NCEL Division One club, who are currently in the bottom two of the table, said: "With eleven games and 33 points still to play for and the imminent appointment of a new football club board, both Mark and Phil felt that the timing was right to give the club the best chance of escaping relegation from the Northern Counties East Football League."

"Throughout this season, they have both acted with dignity whilst maintaining a determination and enthusiasm that many others would not have been able to maintain.
"I know that the decision was difficult for both of them but it shows the class that both have to leave at a time when there is still points to play for and with games in hand on the teams around us.
"Mark and Phil will always be welcome at Park Road and I know everyone at the club will wish them success in their next roles."

Return to Park Road rubber-stamped
29th January, 2016
Three months after leaving Park Road, Worsbrough Bridge Athletic's return to their former ground has been officially rubber-stamped by the Toolstation Northern Counties East Football League.
The Briggers left their home of 92 years in October due to a variety of reasons, including floodlight problems, and had a brief stay at the Grimethorpe Sports Ground before Maltby Main agreed a temporary groundshare with the Division One side.
Now, the club and the Worsbrough Sports Development Association (WSDA) who run the ground have got together to make it possible for a return to Park Road.
And, after an inspection yesterday by the league's ground grading secretary Ian Cox and secretary Brian Gould, the move has been ratified by the NCEL.
Due to League Rule 8.14 that requires a minimum of six days' notification of fixture changes, Saturday's home match with Teversal will still be played at Maltby but, as Muglet Lane is unavailable for Tuesday's game with Shirebrook Town, that will now be played at Park Road on 16th February.
Meanwhile, once the relevant paperwork has been received by the league, all future home matches may be played at Park Road.
A statement from the club read: "Worsbrough Bridge Athletic FC would like to thank all the parties involved from the community, the football club and the trustees of the WSDA who have all worked together to take football back to Park Road and we look forward to a long term partnership over the coming years that will yet again provide stability to the football club within the Worsbrough community."
A spokesperson from the WSDA added: "WSDA are very happy to see Worsbrough Bridge Athletic FC back at our Park Road site. We have some fantastic facilities here and it is good to see football at the very high level returning."
